Warranty

Dalstro provides a voluntary warranty on Dalstro-branded compressors, dryers, tanks, filtration equipment,

piston compressors, diesel compressors, and accessories sold in Australia. This voluntary warranty operates in

addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Warranty Activation & Commissioning

Dalstro recommends commissioning by a qualified technician to ensure correct installation and optimal

performance. A commissioning report helps validate installation conditions and protect against failure.

Dalstro’s voluntary warranty may require evidence of correct installation if a failure is related to installation

conditions.

Where a product failure is not covered under Australian Consumer Law, but is covered under Dalstro’s

warranty, labour, travel, courier and related expenses are not automatically included. Dalstro may, at its

discretion, charge these costs to the customer or choose to cover them as goodwill. Dalstro will advise the

customer of inbound freight requirements before assessment. Parts repaired or replaced under any warranty

specified herein are warranted only for the remaining period of the original warranty period.

2. Warranty Coverage

Dalstro covers parts and labour for voluntary warranty repairs when the product is returned to an authorised

Dalstro service centre or assessed onsite by arrangement.

Outbound freight for repaired or replaced goods is covered by Dalstro. Inbound freight may be the customer’s

responsibility unless the failure is a major failure under ACL.

3. General Exclusions

Dalstro’s warranty does not cover failures caused by:

• incorrect installation, wiring, or ventilation,

• contaminated, incorrect-grade, or insufficient oil,

• lack of maintenance where the failure is directly caused by neglect,

• operation outside specified duty cycle or ambient conditions,

• water damage caused by environmental exposure or condensate neglect,

• misuse, abuse, or modification of the product,

• external factors such as power surges, lightning, flooding, or corrosion,

• consumables (filters, belts, oil, seals, gaskets) unless defective from new,

• general and expected wear and tear on wearable components.

These exclusions apply only to Dalstro’s warranty.

4. Wear & Tear Policy

Normal Wear & Tear (Not Covered)

Dalstro’s warranty does not cover components that wear out through normal use, age, or environmental

exposure.

Normal wear includes:

• filters becoming dirty or blocked,

• belts stretching or wearing,

• lubricants degrading,

• seals and gaskets hardening/leaking,

• bearings wearing gradually,

• valves wearing from cycling,

• piston rings wearing over time,

• dryer efficiency reducing with age,

• tanks/cabinets/painted or coated surfaces developing surface rust.

Wear Caused by Neglect or Misuse (Not Covered)

Failures caused by incorrect oil, blocked filters, overheating, incorrect installation, excessive duty cycle, voltage

issues, water damage, or corrosion are not covered.

Consumables (Not Covered Unless Defective From New)

Consumables are expected to wear out and require replacement. Dalstro does not cover consumables unless

defective from new.

5. Situations Covered (Voluntary Warranty)

Dalstro will honour voluntary warranty claims where:

• the product has been installed correctly,

• maintenance has been performed at reasonable intervals,

• the failure is premature, unexpected, and clearly due to defective materials or workmanship.

6. Good-Will Warranty

If a failure occurs outside the Dalstro warranty period, Dalstro may, at its discretion, provide goodwill

assistance.

7. Transferability

Dalstro’s voluntary warranty applies to the original purchaser.
